Comic Con Sketch’s

You see this, this is the lovely process that I documented of what a commission piece goes through with the proper time.

At the Comic Con’s for the last couples years, we’ve employed the Wheel-O-Lanterns that I’ve made up.  Each Lantern Corps from Green Lantern is represented (Except White Lanterns, they’ve yet to prove anything to me).  I can do most any character and for extra fun, you can spin the wheel to get said character in such a corps.

What we have here is the result of my buddy Pat’s wife, Nan, wanting Dazzler as a Star Sapphire.  I know Pat and Nan, so they let me take some time on this.  This took me a solid weekend, 12-14 hours total to make sure it all looked good to me.  Nan was pleased with the result and I liked doing the piece.   If you go back a couple post’s, you’ll see I did a Black Lantern Optimus Prime.  That piece was done at a con in 20-30 minutes.  I’m not saying I’m upset with it at all, but you can see the difference in quality right away.

I guess the point I’m trying to make here is that if you can give me the time and let me mail it to you, you won’t be disappointed.  I work pretty fast at the Con’s sketching on 9 x 12 sheets, but 11 x 17 pages take longer because there bigger and I feel I’m cheating you if I don’t take my time on something that big.

As far as Con sketches go, I’d like to think I’m pretty cheap compared to other artist’s.  I’m going to offer sketch cards this year as an option, so here’s what the prices for sketch’s are going to be.

9×12 – $10
11×17 – $20
Trading Cards – $2 b&w / $5 color.
